The Role and Responsibilities of the Children and Young People Framework Partnership (CYPFP)

The Children and Young People Framework Partnership has a strategic focus and has two main sub-groups; the Children Partnership (CP), and the Young People Partnership (YPP). It meets three times a year. Membership is at director/chief officer level and is spread right across the spectrum of statutory, voluntary and private organisations. The CYPFP has developed four key priorities within the fifteen strategic aims for children and young people in Swansea. These priorities for 2006/07 are:

  1. Facilitate implementation of National Service Framework for CYP and Maternity Services.
  2. Facilitate an improvement in child and adolescent mental health services and the psychological wellbeing of CYP.
  3. Co-ordinate and improve opportunities for the effective participation of CYP in issues which affect them.
  4. Assist schools to develop and implement whole school healthy eating policies.
